Zahra és Zia – educational materials for learning Hungarian
Workbook • E-learning • Textbook • Test
Zia and Zahra, two children from Afghanistan and Congo are the main characters of this workbook that aims to help children recently enrolled in the Hungarian educational system get familiar with the Hungarian language used in the schools. It was originally created for refugee children, but can be also used by any non-Hungarian speaking child between the age of 8 and 14.
The printable version of the workbook is available under the following link:
To deepen the language skills the students obtained through the workbook, an e-learning material is available under http://www.jmsz.hu/zahraeszia
A textbook (ideal to practice reading comprehension) can also be downloaded from our website:
To help teachers estimate the level of the existing language skills of a child, a short methodological guide and a test was developed. With the help of this short and playful test, the children’s writing skills, Hungarian vocabulary and basic mathematical knowledge can also be assessed.
A printed version of the workbook is available on request. It is free of charge for those in need (primarily refugees), otherwise we accept donations to cover the cost of the reprints in the future. For more information contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
